Yes. The minimum wage is higher than the federal minimum wage and is adjusted for inflation annually based on increases in the cost of living.[1] On January 1st each year, the minimum wage will be adjusted for inflation based on the increase, if any, of the cost of living.[2] Municipalities can set a higher minimum wage and some like Portland have a higher local minimum wage.[3] For minimum wage violations, an employer may be held liable for unpaid wages, an equal amount in liquidated damages, and attorney’s fees.[4]
